An all-natural injection therapy designed for soft tissue injuries in the foot and ankle.
An alternative for patients not interested in surgery or steroid injections, but have not found relief through more conservative options like physical therapy, anti-inflammatory medication, and bracing.
A non-surgical that has almost no downtime.
Although you may not be a professional athlete, do you wonder how they rebound from chronic pain and get back into the game so fast? No matter your sport or level of intensity, doing what you love shouldn't hurt, and you shouldn't have to stop doing it because of pain.
If you have an injury resulting in inflammation, and you've already tried the usual conservative treatment, you need a solution, and then you can get back to your life.
Consider AmnioFix Regenerative Therapy if anti-inflammatories, physical therapy, and bracing have not relieved your pain. This non-steroidal option contains naturally occurring agents that modulate inflammation, reduce scar tissue formation, and enhance healing. For many patients, one of the best reasons for choosing this option is that it's non-surgical, and has almost no downtime.
AmnioFix, a human amniotic membrane allograft, gets applied directly to the injured area. Over 500,000 of these have been distributed for doctors' use in various types of surgeries and wound care applications. This treatment, which is very popular in the medical community, has a proven successful track record.
Consenting and health-screened mothers scheduled for C-sections donate the amniotic membrane tissue. This membrane covers the fetus during pregnancy and is typically discarded after a baby's birth. Recovering the membrane does not affect the baby nor the delivery process. Therefore, donating for creating AmnioFix does not share ethical concerns associated with embryonic tissue.
AmnioFix Sports Med contains natural factors, called growth factors, for homologous use to modulate inflammation, reduce scar tissue formation and enhance healing.
Growth factors are powerful agents that our bodies produce to signal cells. These cells come to the target site, help the site heal, and help your own cells regenerate the damaged tissue. AmnioFix contains some of the most important growth factors needed for healing.

Micro-tears in soft tissue from overuse or trauma can lead to painful inflammation. Over time, scar tissue can form and, as the tissue becomes scarred, full recovery becomes more difficult.

Consider AmnioFix Sports Med if your injury results in inflammation. This option works for many patients when anti-inflammatories, physical therapy, and bracing have not worked.
Explore AmnioFix if you're looking for a non-steroidal option or have reached your limit of steroid injections.
Want a non-surgical alternative to help relieve your pain and heal your injuries.
When applies directly to the injured area, AmnioFix safely protects the soft tissue's collagen matrix. This results in speeding up the recovery process, getting you back to what you love to do.
We want our patients to have a reduction of symptoms and to feel better. With AmnioFix, patients can return to a normal function level and be able to do the activities that make them happy!
Schedule an evaluation and consultation with Dr. Gotman to determine the best course of treatment for you, and see if AmnioFix treatment is a viable option.
If appropriate, Dr. Gotman will schedule the AmnioFix. The entire treatment process takes a very short amount of time, and generally performed on an outpatient basis in our office.
Dr. Gotman may prescribe some rehabilitation exercises or direct you to a rehabilitation facility. For AmnioFix to work optimally, you must follow her directed post-treatment care.
The treatment site might appear red and feel tender to the touch. You may apply ice and elevate, as needed. Initially, the procedure may cause some localized soreness and discomfort, which could last 2-3 days. You should inform us if it lasts longer than that.
Based on your response to the initial injection, you and Dr. Gotman should decide together whether you'll need an additional injection.
If you have questions about your treatment, please call us immediately.
Note: AmnioFix allografts are procured and processed in the United States according to the standards and/or regulations established by the American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB) and the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
